Holland Christian Trip Itinerary

Monday, July 13: Jeff will meet you at Sea-Tac Airport near Seattle then get on the ferry to Whidbey Island. After we set up camp at Fort Ebey State park, we'll end our first day with pizza at a local restaurant and a sunset hike on the bluffs at Ebey's Landing National Historic Reserve.

Tuesday, July 14: Time for a mountain hike! We'll take the ferry from Whidbey Island to the Olympic Peninsula then spend the day hiking up Mount Townsend. From the top, you'll have views of Olympic National Park, the volcanoes in the Cascade Range, and Puget Sound. After the hike, we'll have dinner in Port Townsend before taking the ferry back to Whidbey Island

Wednesday, July 15: Start the day with a hike at Deception Pass State Park. Then, if the group is interested, we'll drive to Mount Erie for a few hours of rock climbing at a local crag. After the climb, we'll head back to Deception Pass to check out the tide pools then end the day with a great meal at a local Mexican restaurant.

Thursday, July 16: Time for a hike up a volcano! We'll pack up our tents and drive to Mt. Baker for a hike up part way up the mountain. This is a highlight of the trip with great views of the glaciers on Mt. Baker and the surrounding mountains. After the hike, we'll drive 3 hours through North Cascades National Park to Pearrygin Lake State Park on the eastern side of the mountains.

Friday, July 17: Fun day on the eastern slopes of the Cascades. We'll hike to a beautiful mountain lake and enjoy lunch and a refreshing (and very cold) swim. After the hike we'll head to a local swimming hole for more swimming then spend time strolling around the western themed town of Winthrop before relaxing at our campsite and watching the stars come out.

Saturday, July 18: White Water Rafting Day. Pack up camp in the morning then drive to Leavenworth for a half day of rafting on the Wenatchee River. After the rafting trip, enjoy souvenir shopping and dinner in Leavenworth before setting up for our last night of camping at Lake Wenatchee State Park.

Sunday, July 19: Time to head home. Pack up our campsite and make the 3 hour drive back to Seattle for your departure.

The trip was so much fun. Definitely the highlight of my summer! The mountains, lakes, and beaches were some of the coolest places I have ever seen!

A group of people is hiking up a rocky, uneven path surrounded by towering rock formations and dense fog or mist. The scene is lush with patches of green grass sprouting from between the rocks, and the hikers are carrying backpacks as they ascend.

Having lived in Washington himself, Jeff used his insider information to show us some amazing places, share unique history, and provide daily "nature nuggets". He's a gracious host and leader, which made for an awesome experience!

Thank you so much for planning on taking us on the trip, I had so much fun and will never forget it. One of my favorite parts was when we watched the sunset at the first campsite. I also loved hiking on Mount Baker and touching the snow. Thanks Again!
